Chad Finchum Returns to NASCAR Xfinity Series Action at Bristol

Bristol, Tennessee (09/19/21) - Chad Finchum made his much-anticipated return to NASCAR Xfinity Series action on Friday evening at Bristol Motor Speedway in his Toyota of Knoxville / Black Oak Contracting No. 61 MBM Motorsports / Finishing Touch / Sesco Lighting She Brews Toyota Supra.

Finchum started the Food City 300 at the famed, 1/2-mile oval in the 38th position. He overcame various challenges throughout the event to cross the finish line in the 33rd position.

"After a long hard-fought race we ended up finishing in the 33rd position. Bristol is one of those tracks that I always put a little bit more expectation on and always have very high standards, but we just came up short of our goals on this one," Finchum said. "We started in the 38th position and quickly advanced our way into the Top 30 and was looking to have a very positive day. Unfortunately, we ended up having some radio issues early in the race and had to come to pit road under green flag conditions, which cost us a ton of time trying to diagnose the issue. We lost several laps and it was just too much to overcome. I want to thank my team and sponsors for their support. My racing program wouldn't be possible without them, and we are looking forward to getting back on the track again soon!"
