Finchum Finishes 23rd at Homestead-Miami Speedway
Homestead, Florida (02/28/21) - Chad Finchum closed out the month of February with the Contender Boats 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
The Tennessee racer entered the NASCAR Xfinity Series event in his Ultra Commercial Interiors No. 61 MBM Motorsports Toyota. The event marked his 100th-career NASCAR Xfinity Series start.
Starting 37th on the grid Finchum moved forward in the pack throughout the day at the 1.5-mile oval. He ran inside the Top 20 most of the day before losing track position during a late-race caution. By the time that the checkered flag fell he sat in the 23rd position.
"It was a really solid day for our team. We kept our nose clean throughout the event. We had a Top-20 car, but the late-race pit stop cost us a few spots. When it was all said and done we finished on the lead lap in the 23rd position," Finchum said. "As always thanks so much to all of the sponsors, who make this possible. We look forward to heading to Vegas next week."
