Mechanical Issues Sideline Finchum Early at Atlanta

Hampton, Georgia (06/06/20) - Saturday was a rough outing for Chad Finchum in his MBM Motorsports/ Carter's Royal Dispose All No. 13 Smithbilt Homes/ Ultra Commercial/ Apple Barn Toyota.

Mechanical issues early in the Echo Park 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway knocked the Tennessee racer out of the NASCAR Xfinity Series event.

"We had a good starting spot for the event in the 18th position, but right off the start of the race we had an issue and ended up falling back quickly. Ultimately, we ended up in the garage and out of the race early," Finchum said. "We had a right-front suspension that couldn't be overcome, but we are so thankful for all of our partners that were on board, including Carter's Royal Dispose All, Smithbilt Homes, Ultra Commercial, and Apple Barn. We will be back strong at Miami next weekend."

Retiring early, Chad was credited with a 34th-place finish.
