Up-And-Down Pair of Outings in Kentucky for Chad Finchum

Sparta, Kentucky (07/10/20) - Chad Finchum traveled to the Bluegrass State on Thursday and Friday for a pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series at Kentucky Speedway.

Chad started the doubleheader on Thursday evening by piloting his MBM Motorsports No. 13 Toyota from the 32nd-starting spot to a 16th-place finish in the Shady Rays 200 at the 1.5-mile, asphalt oval.

He returned on Friday evening with hopes of an even better run, but unfortunately electrical issues sidelined him early in the Alsco 300. He was credited with a 33rd-place finish.

"It was an up-and-down weekend for us in Kentucky. We had to battle through some issues on Thursday evening, but we had a great car and were able to finish 16th. On Friday night, electrical problems bit us, and ended our night early," Finchum shared. "Despite our ups-and-downs this weekend it was an honor to have Rick Rose on the car. He was a very special friend to our team, who recently passed away, and to be able to take him around Kentucky one more time meant a lot."
