Chad Finchum Double Dips in Weekend Action at Richmond

Richmond, Virginia (09/12/20) - A cool September weekend found Chad Finchum taking his No. 61 MBM Motorsports Toyota into battle at Richmond Raceway in a pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series events.

On Friday evening in the Go Bowling 250 the team battled the handle on their car for much of the event before a mechanical issue forced Finchum to retrie to a 37th-place finish.

On Saturday Chad again battled adversity early in the Virginia Is For Lovers 250 before rebounding to salvage a 28th-place finish.

"Richmond is one of my favorite tracks to race and to have a doubleheader there this past weekend was really fun. We struggled finding a balance with the car for most of the race on Friday and ended up making a lot of changes for Saturay's race," Finchum said. "We ended up having to change engiens after Friday's race due to valve train issues. Then on Saturday we started on the tail and fought the car most of the day before finding speed late in the race to salvage a 28th-place finish.

"Overall, we had a lot of fun and were excited to see the improvement as the race progressed. This gives up encouragement heading into my favorite race of the year with the night race at Bristol this Friday night."
