"The Big One" Ends Chad Finchum's Top-10 Run at Daytona

Daytona Beach, Florida (07/05/19) - There's only a few guarantees in life. The "Big One" at Daytona International Speedway is unfortunately one of them, and on Saturday night it ended Chad Finchum's chances at a Top-10 finish in his Smithbilt Homes No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Amana Brand Heating & Air Conditioning Toyota Supra.

"We were up to ninth, and I think we easily had a shot at a Top-5 finish," Finchum recollected. "We were running the high line late in the race with our teammate and were rolling forward when the big one started in front of us. It's Daytona and it happens. There was just nowhere for us to go and we got collected.

"It was great to have some new partners on board for this event. I think we got them some great exposure. We'll now look ahead to putting another good run together at Kentucky."
