Chad Finchum Charges to 15th-Place Finish at Texas

Justin, Texas (11/02/19) - It was all thumbs up for Chad Finchum and MBM Motorsports, when the checkered flag dropped on Saturday night's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The jubilation was quite justified. After all, the Tennessee racer shook the monkey from his back to advance to a 15th-place finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event.

Finchum started 28th on the grid in his Amana Brand Heating & Air Condition/ Smithbilt Homes No. 61 Toyota Supra.

"Power steering went out on like lap 30 or 40, and then the fuel neck came off, and then we had a flat right front, but we overcame it all. I think we were on pit road more than we are on the track. However, we did excactly what we came here to do. By finishing 15th we topped our best finish, which was last year here [17th]," Finchum said. "The car was a handful with no power steering, but I I got up on the wheel and made it happen. Now, I'm fired up to head to Phoenix!"
