Chad Finchum Competes at Iowa Speedway

Newton, Iowa (06/17/18) - Chad Finchum returned to action over the weekend at Iowa Speedway in his MB Motorsports No. 40 Smithbilt Homes Toyota Camry.

The Tennessee racer continued his recent momentum with a 26th-place finish in the American Ethanol 250 at Iowa Speedway.

Finchum qualified 29th on the grid for the 250-lap affair on a hot Sunday afternoon in Iowa.

Chad ran in the Top 30 throughout the event and looked to be on his way to a 24th-place finish before a right-front flat tire with 40 laps sent him into the turn one wall. Finchum would be able to continue, but with a broken sway-bar arm heim joint he didn't have drive off the corners.

He would still manage a 26th place finish, which marked his fourth Top-30 finish in the last four races.

"We keep making small gains on this car, and even with the blown tire we had a great outing at Iowa," Finchum said. "We'll enjoy the upcoming weekend off before heading to Chicagoland Speedway on June 30."
