Chad Finchum Enjoys Stellar Outing at Daytona

Daytona Beach, Florida (07/06/18) - Chad Finchum had a stellar outing during the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 on Friday evening at Daytona International Speedway.

The Tennessee racer contended for a win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at the famed 2.5-mile oval before ultimately recording a 14th-place finish.

"Man what a race. We had an absolute rocket ship. We raced into the Top 10 and then we raced into the Top 5, and honestly we were in a position to win the race there late," Finchum said. "With about 12 to go we were setup to win the race, but then we got collected in a wreck that caused a tire rub and ultimately cut a tire down. We came to the pits, but still got a 14th-place finish, which was 11 spots better than our previous best finish.
