Transmission Issues Halt Chad Finchum's Kentucky Charge

Sparta, Kentucky (07/13/18) - Chad Finchum traveled to the Bluegrass State over the weekend to compete in the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Motor Speedway.

Finchum looked to be on his way to another solid performance before transmission issues struck late in the 200-lap event at the 1.5-mile oval.

"We qualified 35th, but we knew we had a good racecar," Finchum said. "We didn't work on any qualifying trim because we wanted to focus on our race package. I was able to move into the Top 30 and was fighting around 25th all night, but with about 40 laps to we started to lose the clutch. Ten laps later we lost the transmission. Even though we had bad luck equipment wise this team still has a lot of momentum, and I'm going to focus on taking it into New Hampshire next week."
