Chad Finchum Endures Brake Issues and Late-Race Accident at Bristol

Bristol Motor Speedway is Chad Finchum's favorite track. He absolutely loves the place, but unfortunately on Friday night it did not show him love during the Food City 300 with the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

"Bristol is my favorite track in the world, and we've enjoyed success here in the past, but Friday night just wasn't our night," Finchum said. "We started the weekend fast in practice, but then we struggled in qualifying. I was able to pass some cars early in the race, but then we had a brake failure that sent us behind the wall. The team made repairs and we rejoined the race, and were amazingly running lap times the same as some guys in the Top 5.

"Unfortunately with about 30 laps to go we got into the wall, ending our night. Bristol is a tough track, and I just hate it for everybody involved. We'll turn our focus to the next one and look for better luck."
