Finchum Dodges Carnage for 25th-Place Finish in Vegas

Chad Finchum's rookie campaign with the NASCAR Xfinity Series took him to Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the weekend, where he was once again behind the wheel of his Smithbilt Homes/ MBM Motorsports/No. 40 Toyota Camry.

The team overcame transmission issues - which caused Fincum to miss the first practice session - to qualify 29th fastest in the 40-car field for the DC Solar 300.

The event would see multiple incidents, but Finchum would be able to keep his nose clean throughout the event. Despite an engine issue, he raced his way to a 25th-place finish.
