Chad Finchum Records 17th-Place Finish in Texas

Justin, Texas (11/03/18) - On the heels of his best qualifying effort of the season, Chad Finchum raced his Smithbilt Homes/ MBM Motorsports/No. 40 Toyota Camry to a 17th-place finish on Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300.

"This was the first time that we've made it to round two of qualifying, and we were able to earn the 19th-starting spot for the race," Finchum noted. "We had a lot of speed when we came here back in the spring but just ran into some real bad luck. This time we were fast all weekend, and were able to come away with a great finish at the checkered flag.

" I thought we might have a chance at a Top-15, but on the long runs we were just a little off with the car. Overall though, it was phenomenal day and I'm really excited about the final two races of the season "
