Finchum Races with NASCAR Xfinity Series at Bristol

MBM Motorsports with Chad Finchum behind the wheel of the team’s Smithbilt Homes #40 entry entered the Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday.

Chad qualified 31st fastest for the NASCAR Xfinity Series event. However, the team found a bad brake hose after qualifying and changed it. Due to making modifications on the Chevrolet Camero Finchum was forced to start at the tail of the field.

In the first segment of the event, Chad advanced to as high as the 24th position before he again began battling brake issues.

He would battle the issues for the remainder of the event before crossing the finish line in the 28th position.

"I'm so proud of my team for all of their efforts and hard work this weekend," Finchum said. "We brought a really good car to the event, but unfortunately we didn't get to see just how good it was because of the brake issues. Thanks to all of my friends and family for coming support me. I can't wait until the next event.
