Finchum Rebounds for Sixth-Place Finish at the Shootout
After a few weeks of bad luck and a broken thumb, Chad Finchum drove to a sixth-place finish Tuesday, August 3rd, in the Legends Pro division ninth round of the Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC).
During the 2010 season, US Legend Cars International made a switch with the tire brand, which has thrown many teams a curve ball with their set-ups. Combined with the learning curve of what the car wants with the set-up and the new tire, and the bad luck of being involved in a few incidents on the track, Finchum was happy to drive to a sixth-place finish Tuesday.
"We had good luck the first week, but ever since, we have had our ups and downs," said Finchum. "It now seems like our luck has turned back around and our car is running better. The new Federal Tires have thrown us off a bit, but we are getting our stuff back together and we are coming back next week looking for a win."
The final round of the Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) will take place on Tuesday, August 10th.
