Finchum Races to Fourth at Concord Speedway

After a nasty crash at Lanier National Speedway (GA) in the Legends Car Young Lions division back at the end of August, Chad Finchum and his team took some time off from the track and regroup as well as get their car ready for the Nationals event slated in October. After a long time out of the car, Finchum decided to race in the Concord Speedway (NC) event on Sunday, September 27th, and ended up finishing fourth.
“It was a good race,” said Finchum. “We have been out of the car for four weeks after we had a bad wreck at Lanier. We rebuilt the car, and for our first time back I don’t think we did too bad. We were running the same times as everyone else. We just started towards the back, so we couldn’t quite get to the front by the end of the race.
“Our team was on top of their game. There were a few bugs here and there, but we will get everything all squared away before the Nationals.”
With one more race weekend prior to the Nationals event, Finchum and his team are looking to tweak the car just a bit to get it ready for the big event in Georgia.
“We are just getting the car dialed back in to where we had it before our wreck, and actually get it a bit better. I think if we get a good starting spot in the Nationals, we will be good there.”
The next race for Finchum will be at Lanier National Speedway on October 3rd.
