Three Top-Four Finishes Completes Strong Weekend For Finchum
A Victory, Third and Fourth at Three Tracks Keeps Tennessee Driver On Track
It is tough to race for the win at three tracks in two states in three days, but Legends Young Lions division racer Chad Finchum did just that this past weekend.  On Saturday, Finchum scored the victory at Newport Speedway (TN), and then raced to a third-place finish at Concord Speedway (NC) Sunday before finishing fourth at Lowe's Motor Speedway (NC) on Monday.

"We had the fastest car at Newport," said Finchum.  "We were worried about tires there.  It rained on us during qualifying and it was really close for the top spot between Christopher McKinney and me.  We went out there and raced a clean race and brought home a win.

"At Concord, it was a great race.  Our tires gave out on us at the end, so we didn't have anything for the leaders, but our Embassy Suites Legends Car was amazing.  If we would have had a caution there at the end, we might have had something for them."

On Monday, Finchum has the same luck as the prior week at LMS, getting a horrible draw and starting in the back, but he once again showed he was one of the faster cars, racing up to fourth.

"This race was kind of like last week, starting in the rear again and working our way through the field.  We weren't giving up until the checkered flag flew.  Clay Hair and the team worked on the car and we were able to drive from 18th to fourth."

Next up for Finchum is a return to Newport Speedway on Saturday, May 2nd before heading to Concord Speedway on Sunday, May 3rd.
